MEET OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Marilys was born and raised in Jamestown and has lived there nearly her entire life. She has held various positions in retail through the years and has been an active volunteer for countless local organizations and groups. She is very involved in her church, having served on the council and held several church offices, in addition to teaching Sunday School. She has a heart for God's work and became an early supporter of Living is Giving.

Ryan grew up in Minnesota and has deep roots in North Dakota. He and his wife Andrea, along with their four children, reside in Lakeville, Minnesota. His family founded, and continues to operate, Liechty Homes, based in Jamestown. Ryan is  businessman, entrepreneur, and investor with a background in real estate, IT management, business startups, and consulting. 

Emmanuel is a self-employed businessman and entrepreneur.  He has extensive experience in finance, administration, and operations management. He also served in a leadership role in a public/private partnership project in Liberia.  He and his wife, Kanvee, an award-winning gospel artist, live with their children in London, U. K. Emmanuel returns to his native Liberia on a frequent basis.

Christine was born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada. She moved to North Dakota to attend college in the 1970s and has lived there ever since.  She has degrees in art education and special education and taught high school art for most of her career, retiring in 2021.  She is married to Tim and lives in Jamestown, North Dakota.

Tim Burchill worked as a health care administrator in North Dakota for 39 years, retiring in 2021. He was raised on a farm in eastern North Dakota. Tim continues to be an active member of the Jamestown, ND community, where he has lived since 2007.  He has been involved in many nonprofit and service organizations throughout his adult life. He is married to Christine.

Bill Woyah was born in Liberia and has lived there his entire life. He was separated from family during the civil wars, and several of his family members were able to emigrate to the U. S. He has a background in education, Christian ministry and media production. In 2024 he earned a bachelor's degree in education administration from Carver Christian University. He lives in Paynesville, Liberia.
